Jose Chameleone Fails To Appear In Court Over Shs53 Million Debt

The legendary musician Mayanja Joseph known by his stage names Jose Chameleone was dragged to court by the female South African based promoter Zaina Muwonge over breached contract, damaged reputation and property.

While seeking for compensation, Zaina Muwonge wanted the ‘Wale Wale‘ Hit maker to recover Shs53 million over his failure to perform on the agreed date.

Zaina booked Jose Chameleone to perform in South Africa 4 years ago, but the singer switched off his phone on the agreed day. Jose later asked forgiveness and promised to compensate with her the following year but he again did the same thing.

Therefore on Wednesday, a court hearing was resumed at commercial court on Twed Towers, but the singer did not bother to appear.

His lawyers asked magistrate Wolayo Justice Henrietta to adjourn this case until 19th December because the victim is still on his musical tours.
