Kakwenza Collects Ugshs 40 Million In Less Than Seven Hours

Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has made heads turn after collecting Shs40 million in less than seven hours. He used social media to state the need for money and people responded immediately.

“My friends who stood surety for me owe court 40m coz I fled the country for my life. It’s upon me now to raise the money and pay court–in respect of summons. I’m looking for 5,000 people who can send UGX8,000 to MTN +25678536**** registered as Kakwenza Rukirabashaija. Thxs.”

Just after a few hours, his supporters and followers started collecting the money and the amount was raised. He shortly came back with another post thanking the people who sent in money to support the need.

“I have got UGX40m. Fundraising has been successful. Now waiting for that bespectacled magistrate with fat cheeks  & head bereft of the law, to send me the account number to which I’ll make a deposit and save my sureties’ bahookies from sitting in filthy cold jail. THANKS EVERYONE,” he said.

Some people didn’t like this idea saying it was so irresponsible of him to leave the people that stood for him in the country. Kakwenza went to exile after court released him from prison on bail.

He traveled to Germany without a passport

He ran to the republic of Germany somehow without his passport because it was withdrawn from him as investigations are still going on.

“After the money is paid. A lasting solution which is you entering appearance would be more viable. Innocent people and heroes don’t run away from the face of justice. Think about it. Because your sureties risk both paying the money and imprisonment,” a one Rachel Akello tweeted.
