Burna Boy with his brand is very expensive to hire for an event. Some Ugandan big musicians have never made a quarter of the money given to Burna Boy to sing at an event.
According to Kalifah AgaNaga, that is the reason he is so disappointed because Hamis would at least hire Ugandan musicians.
He said it would be better to invest in Ugandan musicians. This is because the battle between Sheebah and Cindy proved that Ugandans can show up in big numbers.
“I want to thank the organizers of the battle for choosing Ugandan Artists( Cindy sanyu & Sheebah ) and investing in them with a world-class stage, Press conference, and debate. But it is a big shame and a disappointment for someone who chose #Burna boy for the Grand Opening of the Nakivubo Stadium,” he posted.
AgaNaga is not the first musician to complain about Nigerian musicians being paid highly to come and perform in Uganda.
It has been a problem that is not yet solved because Nigerian music is still dominating in Uganda. The demand for their performance is also high.
