Kampala’s economists are angry to the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over continuous pouring of money to crowds without useful production of goods and services to the economy.
However, the president sometime back launched an program that aimed at giving out money towards people from the ghetto as new donation method basing from the state house. He introduced this method to soften and attract attention from those living in the ghetto.
Museveni warned on splashing hard cash.
But while interviewing one of the local radio station on Wednesday, Ramadan Goobi, an economic analyst lamented that this kind of cash sub mission to the youths can’t solve the economic crisis in Uganda, but rather may cause more disagreements.
“Macro instability offsets economic growth. The ongoing donations will consequently affect the country’s economy if this is not revisited,” Ramadhan said.
But to highlight you more, during the last press conference with the Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine, he trashed this method brought up by the Museveni. He mentioned that giving out cash aimlessly won’t solve the youths’ economic disabilities, and “People Power” theme looses it’s meaning. This is not a Paywall, but Newslex Point's journalism consumes a lot of time, hard-work and money.
