Traguil oversaw the team’s first four matches of the season, and came out empty handed after losing all four. This left the 13-time champions placed at the very bottom of the table. Magera knows very well that he has taken on a big challenge and looks to immediately change things against NEC. However, NEC has had a fiery start to the season after registering three wins out of the four played games.
“The main target is to see how the club can get out of that situation. We’re trying as much as we can to see that the players get well mentally, physically and tactically. We have to get into our game against NEC well prepared and get the result wanted of us,” Magera told the club media.
To change things up, Magera could start with recalling Moses Wasswa and Derrick Ochan who had fallen out with Traguil. However, they will be without main striker Muhammad Shaban who is out ill.
NEC have their secret weapon in Geoffrey Sserunkuma, Allan Mugalu, Rashid Okocha. They can also rely on former KCCA striker Brian Kayanja who can do damage to struggling Kasasiro. The meeting between the two will definitely be competitive but in a previous friendly, they both settled for a draw.
