The Muko muko singer said that contrary to what rumors bear, they are actually in Gulu studying the patterns of the music industry.
Michael said that this seminar is being sponsored by Gen Salim Saleh and says they have learnt a lot. He went ahead to say that almost all the big name musicians are there and they attend classes like it’s a school.
Michael asserted that the main goal of these workshops is to rectify the music industry. Especially for those artists available and those coming after them.
They are also aiming at how best to monetize the music industry.
“Am here basically to correct on what has been circulating on the artists being in Gulu. Most of the big artists like Ragga Dee, Bebe Cool, Chameleone, myself, Cindy, Ronald Mayinja are all here. We are attending classes and it’s like a school. We are really learning a lot about our industry and honestly, there are things myself I have learnt that I didn’t know. Many mistakes I did way back but can be corrected now.” Michael said.
King Michael who sits on the board of Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) said they went to Gulu with differences with Chameleone’s Superstars Association.
However, they have sorted these misunderstandings and they now breathe the same air and are steering the same goal.
Things like having to do car washes or fundraisers for musicians when they get sick are some of the things they want to do away with according to Micheal.
