King Saha And Cindy To Face Off For UMA Presidency

It seems like there will be a juicy contest for the presidency of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) between Cindy and King Saha.

This is after the two expressed their desire for the association’s top office.

The Boom Party singer has been the association’s president for quite some time. She assumed the role after Mpaka Records boss Ykee Benda stepped down from the role.

There is still speculation about King Saha picking up the nomination papers officially but singer King Michael confirmed that he will. For Cindy, she’s already picked up the papers.

Phina Mugerwa who also picked up papers to run for the post of General Secretary called upon all musicians to come and take part in the elections.

This is a post that the singer has been occupying in the previous cabinet. Phina said that she will try to bridge the gap between the private sector and the government.

She also expressed her full support for Cindy. Phina said that she’s previously worked under Cindy therefore knows her strengths.

Singer/songwriter and producer Daddy Andre also picked up papers for the post of youth representative.
