King Saha is among the musicians in Chameleone’s superstars association who recently generated mixed public opinion after they went to Gulu to meet Gen Salim Saleh. Apparently, these musicians have gone to pick covid financial relief from the Operation Wealth Creation Coordinator. They say the pandemic left them with nothing to feed on. This is after the president closed their industry nearly two years now.
They have engaged with Gen Saleh for two weeks now in a bid to lure the general into giving them financial assistance. Some of them however seem to be discontented with the sluggish speed the process is taking.
Chameleone’s group seeking Ugx 9 billion as a stimulus package.
Pallaso and Chameleone will apparently get over Ugx 800M while Weasel and Bebe Cool will get over 600M.
King Saha on this list is set to get over 357M, a thing that threw his affiliates and fans into a frenzy. He took to his Facebook page to tell them to go slow because he’s still waiting for the money too.
“Banange ssi nafuna ssente…. mugenda kunziisa amasimu.” Saha posted cautioning his followers to reduce the rate of the phonecalls.
A huge section of the public is however not happy with the money they are giving these musicians. This is taxpayers money who are suffering out there yet nothing has been done for them too.
