Kitatta Asks For Bail Saying He’s An NRM Chairman

Abudallah Kitatta the Boda Boda 2010 Chairman requested   for a bail from the army court where he’s charged with a number of offences.

Kitatta together with other 10 people were charged with to unlawful possession of military hardware that is to say; guns, pistols and ammunition.

Through his  lawyer Shaban Sanywa, the boda boda 2010 chairman said that he has a lot of responsibilities at are at a standstill since he’s incarcerated.

He said: “I am a male Ugandan adult and a chairman of NRM in Rubaga district. I am also the chairman of the National Union of drivers, cyclists and allied workers.”

Besides other responsibilities, Am the only provider of the many families that I have and also most  relatives of mine are also dependents on me,”  Kitatta added.

Abudallah also told court about his health problems that need serious attention which attention  he can only get when he’s given bail.

Kitatta swore to give in the security that the court asks for and also promised that he would make sure that he turns up for the trial if he’s released on bail.
