This article further said that the party leader’s (Bobi Wine) loyalists were accusing Mpuuga of betrayal. The Mukungwe-Nyendo MP wasn’t pleased with this article. He straight away hit at the company’s CEO, Don Wanyama.
The conflict brewing on @nyamadon’s desk must be the size of a malwa pot! He needs to be advised not to pick the straw, it could easily ferment on his head!!! pic.twitter.com/3vSkTr39SH

Mathias Mpuuga wasn’t done yet with New Vision as through his Twitter page gave an account of what transpired in the recent NUP retreat.
Mpuuga further said that the New Vision story was blatant lies meant to aid the ruling party’s propaganda.
“Journalists came to office to speak to me about a propagandist article published by @newvisionwire under a headline; “NUP Top Bosses in Bitter Split.” This is probably a figment of somebody’s wild imagination. I belong to the top organs of the party, and, meetings sit as and when it is necessary. I have not heard a policy or decision disagreement to the level I have seen in some form of a shabbily cooked story to wit in The New Vision. It is misplaced, it is meant to foment disagreements in the rank and file of @NUP_Ug,” Mpuuga tweeted.
Further, the LOP said that a political party belongs to the public and not a personal entity. Therefore, if there they making any changes to be made, the public is consulted and even made aware.
According to Mpuuga, such articles are from people who want to see the party disintegrate but that won’t happen under his watch.
Mpuuga decided to give details of what transpired at the retreat.
He said that they are not a bunch of fools who will sing about every issue that comes up. He added that the main motive of the retreat was to reflect on their first 6 months in office.
“We are not a bunch of fools that whenever an issue comes, we chorus about it; we deliberate. The intention of the retreat we had with the NUP MPs was to review our 6 months in Parliament. We agreed to improve, re-orient our young & new MPs to best represent their people and afflictions of the society. We discussed the major challenges in the country; Human Rights violations, the continued arrests of our members.”
He concluded by saying that as the leading opposition political party, they have a duty to harmonize other parties to push out dictatorship.
