Makerere University Releases Bobi Wine’s Academic Papers, Age Saga Arises

Makerere University has released Bobi Wine’s academic papers which has caused jaws to drop. The information on the papers there has caused a saga in his age. According to the papers handed over to EC, Bobi wine was born in 1982.

However, in the released Makerere academic papers, they show his year of birth as 1980.

Just last year, Attorney, Male Mabirizi accused Bobi Wine of deceiving about his real age.

“I was availed with all documents presented by Bobi Wine to EC in 2017 Kyadondo East by-election and I discovered dishonesty on his side. He was not born in 1982 as he claims because the Makerere University transcript shows that he was born on February 12, 1980,” Mabirizi said.

Mabirizi wrote to Makere to avail him with Bobi Wines’ documents which they have done. According to the laws that govern the university a person can only enrol under mature entry at 25 and above. As for Kyagulanyi, it shows that he enrolled for this at 20 years old.

“The Mature Age Entry Scheme, candidates who are at least 25 years old and who completed formal education at least five years previous to the year of admission, may apply to sit the mature age examinations. Formal education excludes training at post-secondary institutions. It is defined as Primary and Secondary education. Those who are successful, in both the written and the oral examination are then considered for admission,” part of the document read.

Mabirizi is now demanding that the university should recall the diploma attained by Bobi Wine in Music, Dance and Drama. This will be on grounds of illegal admission to the University.
