Mama Fina Faults Parents For Spoiling Their Children Through Gadgets

Local traditional herbalist, Sylvia Namutebi aka Mama Fina has faulted parents for spoiling their children, especially the girls. She said that most girls now are in for quick things. They always want quick nice things regardless of how they get them.

Worse, even parents do not take the initiative to ask their children where they get such things.

Additionally, Mama Fina, who is also a philanthropist, added that she’s seen several parents giving their children gadgets at a very tender age. They forget the dangers of social media and the Internet.

“Girls these days want very quick things. You find a girl with the latest iPhone 15 and a parent doesn’t even bother to ask her where she got it from. You find other parents giving their children gadgets at a very tender age. They forget the dangers of social media and how it can affect their children. This is not right at all,” she said.

However, some netizens were quick to point out that she also gifted her daughter one million shillings and an iPhone. This was when she had just received her PLE results. Others meanwhile agreed with her take. They said that parents ought to supervise their children and learn everything going on in their lives.

Meanwhile, she also advised uncouth and unruly youths to change their behaviors or they will face it rough with the law. Mama Fina recently had a young man in Eastern Uganda arrested after he took to social media and recorded a very vulgar and blasphemous video about her.

She said that she’s the most kind person but if she reaches a point of having someone arrested, that means that she was deeply hurt. Therefore, she advised all young people with a gadget in their hands to behave while using it.
