He said that many people have asked him what is next after leaving NUP. As a person who has been in the struggle and wants what is better for his country, he wouldn’t give up.
The Masaka member of parliament decided to create his own political party. He is much invested in it knowing it will remove the ruling government.
National Unity Platform (NUP) is still up and running. It is the leading opposition political party in the country with over 50 members of parliament.
“Many of you have been waiting to hear what next for Mpuuga after NUP. One single person (Museveni ) has been at the helm of the state for 40 years. I’m 49 years. He came to power when I was in primary school. It’s a shame! I’m here to invite you to join me in the struggle for a better country. We have lost a lot of time fighting each other, backbiting each other. This is instead of fighting a common enemy,” he said.
It should be noted that Mpuuga was accused of stealing UGX 500 million by National Unity Platform (NUP). They ended up suspending him from the party and even asked him to apologize in order to work things out.
