Singer Maurice Kirya Gives Artistes Hilarious Advice On How To Stage Concerts

With music concerts having been banned nearly two years now due to the COVID 19 pandemic, singer Maurice Kirya has come out with the perfect advice to fellow entertainers on how to hold concerts.

The Busabala singer said that it’s interesting to see that a Ugandan singer can do a big wedding but not a concert. He therefore said that artists should now start disguising concerts for weddings.

“So a Ugandan artist can not do a concert but big weddings can happen? Fine, We artists are gonna charge people to come to our wedding parties where we perform every Saturday, only to divorce on Sunday, fall in love on Monday, Marry again on Saturday.#weddingconcert,” the singer said.

Maurice Kirya made these comments in relation to Nubian Li’s wedding over the past weekend. The Fire base singer had a number of people and dignitaries in attendance.

Musicians however have been performing at different social functions even with the ban on concerts in place. The president recently increased the number of attendants of social functions to 200.

President Museveni advised musicians to seek alternative ways to perform. This is because entertainment centers and concerts are not a priority in things that should open.

However, these were promised that something might change in case the target vaccinated population is hit by January 2022.
