Michelle Obama Stops By Jimmy Kimmel Live For Quarantine Update

The former first lady, Michelle Obama stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live and offered a quarantine update. During the interview, she also shared why parents and kids alike will enjoy watching her new Netflix series.

Michelle said that for a month, she and the former President, Barack Obama enjoyed a quarantine routine along with their daughters Sasha and Malia. The routine involved work during the day and wine paired with fun activities like puzzles or painting at night.

‘’Then the kids would come down later, be a little more surly… we ran out of stories to tell,’’ Michelle joked.
Between her book and her husband’s, A Promised Land, she noted that there has been a magnitude of friendly competition. She, however, assured Kimmel that she knew she is well ahead of her husband in book sales. Kimmel confirmed this saying Michelle had sold 15 million copies, nearly five times as much as Barack’s 3.3 million sold.

Kimmel then turned his attention to the new puppet-filled Netflix comedy by the Obamas that teaches kids to like fresh foods. A number of famous faces appear throughout the entire series, for example, Lionel Richie. Obama hinted on Lionel that he helps close out the season.

Michelle said the show is one that you watch with your kids but then also want to watch it. She said that as a parent of children, one realizes there’s a lot of shows they want to watch with their kids and laugh along.

The former first lady then tried to encourage Kimmel to follow some healthy eating tips with his daughter. She learned that the late-night host’s child is a bit reluctant to eat vegetables. However, when asked why, Kimmel said he dislikes trying out new things.

Among the many things discussed during the interview, Prince Harry and Meghan Markel’s issues also came up. Michelle said race isn’t a new construct in this world for people of color. It, therefore, did not surprise to hear Meghan’s feelings and to have them articulated, according to Michelle.
