Outspoken presidential advisor on media matters, Tamale Mirundi, has advised Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine not to waste his time on senior journalist Andrew Mwenda.

In his latest missive, Mwenda told Bobi Wine that opposition mobs are organised, disorganised or unorganised and that majorities don’t rule.

“So your Bobi Wine and his rants against Museveni can give you psychological comfort that someone cares and is fighting for your interests. It is also possible he is well intentioned,” he said.

He added: “I know you will ignore the fact that he is ignorant, emotional and lacking in an alternative vision for our country and strategy to get rid of Museveni. So you will choose psychological comfort over painful truths. But if I have to die for telling you this painful truth, it will be a happy death.”

Appearing on NBS TV Tuesday, Mirundi appealed to Bobi Wine not to waste his precious time fighting with Mwenda who he called a madman.

“My brother Bobi Wine, in all my humbleness, don’t reply to the letters of this mad man Andrew Mwenda,” Mirundi said.

He added: “Let the dead lie, don’t awaken the dead please, don’t bother. You will be undermining yourself.”

Mirundi used the opportunity to explain why he was recently seen wearing a yellow ribbon and carrying a hammer during an age limit consultative rally.

“In Buganda, everyone must have a spear, its tradition. A hammer is mobile,” he said.

He also commented on former presidential candidate Abed Bwanika’s decision to carry out a referendum on the constitutional amendments to removal the presidential age limit.

According to Mirundi, Bwanika has created an alternative route because parliament is clogged.

“It’s going to help Museveni. If Museveni is an old man who can’t be trusted, why do you interview people older than him? Because age is wisdom.”
