Most Pastors Aid People To Be Comfortable In Poverty – Father Deogratius Kiibi

Famous Catholic priest, Father Deogratius Kiibi, has condemned the way most pastors preach to their followers in church. He said these pastors tend to let their followers be comfortable in poverty.

They do this by telling them that that is what God wants for them at the moment.

Across different countries, some people have started using churches as businesses. When people attend services, they are told to pay a certain amount of money as a way of thanking God.

Some have even put a fixed amount of money that followers are supposed to give as tithe every time they attend church.

According to Father Deogratius Kiibi, people are supposed to be working for their good but some churches have long services every day, and night. He said there is no way someone is going to sleep in church and wake up the next day ready for work.

Father Kibii asked pastors to be considerate, and advise their people to work harder. They should also stop asking for money from these followers because most of them are not doing well financially.

“I don’t like seeing pastors drag their followers into poverty. We all know, that whether a believer or not a believer one has to work hard. No one can expect someone to sleep in church and then wake up the following day ready to work like someone who slept well,” he said.
