Due to heavy rains in Accra people have to shelter themselves away from the rain but as they did that on Wednesday in a certain gas station a tragedy happened.
Fire at a trucks terminal around a gas station caused a massive explosion in the capital city of Ghana which led to countless death of people in the area including those who were sheltering at the gas station due the heavy rains that even caused flooding in the city.
This lugubrious moment in the city has resulted into 3 day mourning within the country, this is to give the dead a special death burial and the mourning stated yesterday even though the city is under flooding which has led to the closing of schools in the city.
The city is under infrastructure struggle to respond to the population growth that has doubled to 4 million since 1994 and yet now it is under attack of the flooding which will increase the country’s expenditure this year.
May God give the dead a peaceful eternity and continue to welling the people in the city from this tragedy.
