Gen. Mugisha Muntu On What He Will Prioritize Once He Becomes President

Retired Military officer and now President of Alliance For National Transformation(ANT), Gen. Mugisha Muntu, has revealed what is going to be his priority once he becomes the president of Uganda.

He said he is not like these other politicians who make so many promises but once in power, they don’t come through with them.

Gen. Muntu said his priority and his political party is to transform the country and achieve the best possible results.

The ANT President showed interest in becoming the president of Uganda in the last elections in 2021. Unfortunately, he didn’t get a big percentage of the votes but he is still hopeful.

He was a close friend of President Museveni before they fell out several years ago. He was even among the soldiers who fought with Museveni in the 80s as they struggled for liberation.

Muntu said he only needs people’s trust by voting for him. That is when they will know the difference between different leaders and what plans he has for the country.

“Many leaders make promises, but once they are in power, they fail to follow through. Our priority is to transform the country and achieve the best possible results,” he said.

It should be noted that President Museveni is not friends with Gen Muntu but he knows more of the inside of government as he was one of the close people in there.
