Muhammad Ssegirinya Slowly Recuperating As Swearing-in Ceremony Draws Closer

A few weeks ago Kawempe North Member of Parliament elect, Hon. Ssegirinya Muhammed’s health condition deteriorated and they rushed him out of the country to seek advanced medical attention.

This was after court remanded him to Kitalya Government Prison for what police call an illegal demonstration in the city centre.

After his release, Ssegirinya’s health became a major concern and he was first flown to Nairobi. They then flew him to the US for further medical treatment. This all happened at a time when he had been taken to court by his opponent, Sulaiman Kidandala.

Kidandala had sought court to nullify Ssegirinya’s victory since he allegedly forged his academic papers.

A number of local politicians and bloggers came out to say how Ssegirinya was faking his sickness. This was all in a bid to cool off the pressure from his opponent and they anticipated he would return to normalcy towards swearing-in.

Last night the self-proclaimed Mr Update posted pictures of his sickbed which showed him in a much better condition on social media. Ssegirinya who was walking around seemed like he would be in good shape for next week’s swearing-in ceremony.

We remember that outgoing Rubaga South MP Kato Lubwama and blogger Isma Olaxes all predicted that he would just be fine towards swearing-in. They all ascertained that it was just another prank the politician was pulling off.

The swearing-in ceremony for MPs will take place next week on the 17th May on Monday.
