Museveni To receive His First Jab Of The Covid Vaccine Today

President Museveni is apparently expected to receive his first jab of the covid vaccine today. Dr Atwiine informed the media about this development. This has come after a lot of criticism from the public who have accused the president of letting them down. In many countries where the vaccine was received, presidents were the first people to receive the jab.

However, during the last speech while addressing the country president said he was still making a few inquiries. This made a lot of citizens to have second thoughts about the vaccine.

“I have not yet been vaccinated, and neither has Janet(First Lady). We wanted to start with the high-risk people. These are the ones working in hospitals dealing with patients. The reason I have not been vaccinated is that I am quite careful and well protected by the system here,” Museveni said in his last speech.

However last week his son, Maj. Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba took his first jab. By now, enough research has been done and it is safe for the president to take the jab as well. However, the public has requested that this needs to be on live video so that Ugandans can confirm that it’s real. Obviously, we don’t know if this will be granted but it would be wise if done to clear the air.
