Music Duo Hatim And Dokey Accuse Grenade Official Of Being Disrespectful

Ugandan singing duo Hatim and Dokey have come out accusing fellow singer Grenade Official of disrespect. Hatim and Dokey joined the music industry during Covid-19. But all those songs they have been putting out have become hit songs and have worked well.

Their faces are very rare in the music industry because they take long to release a new song. People are always wondering what could be behind the scenes when artistes go silent for a while.

In an interview with a local television, the duo revealed all the things they do behind the scenes. They even talked about their struggles with fellow artistes. One of the artistes they talked about is Grenade Official who was signed on to Team No Sleep (TNS) months ago.

According to Hatim and Dokey, they have been working with Grenade for some time. They have been writing for him songs and they are the people behind the famous song ‘babandana’

The problem is they have never received money for writing that song yet it has been making rounds and money for the artiste.

Hatim and Dokey said whenever they ask for their payment, Grenade tells them he is still investing to make his brand bigger.

He told them he is giving himself just months and he will be beyond their level so that they no longer have access to him.

“There isn’t a so disrespectful artist like Grenade Official. We have been working with him for a long time. Writing for him songs but his pride and failure to pay has taken us off. I wrote Babandana but I have never received any payments. When I asked they told me I am on a low level now, Grenade is way above me,” they said.
