‘Oulanyah’s final resting place. After all the pomp & glamour in his funeral, this is it.’ This comment was attached to a photo that showed men digging Oulanyah’s grave. Most people didn’t find this funny at all including fellow journalists.
“There are times when we just let people grieve. In these times we imagine those for whom he is a friend and a parent. What they would rather read. We can choose to comfort Simon. We can choose to condole and I know you too can. But again who am I to give a media guru any advice?” Samson Kasumba tweeted.
“The timing was wrong and it was unnecessary for him to drag Oulanyah’s name in his nonsense. What he failed to understand is that when u love someone u don’t care how much u spend on them, so he should let people mourn the speaker in peace. He’s becoming a public nuisance.” A one Mwosi Karungi said.
However, there are people who just didn’t find any problem with Njala’s tweet.
“What’s wrong with this tweet? The likes of Chairman Mao and comedian Salvador are seemingly reading it out of context, all @SimonKaggwaNjal is saying is plain truth to addition no subtraction.” Former NBS Journalist, Mordecai Muriisa asked.
Meanwhile, Simon Kagwa Njala himself has been asking why people are making a big deal out of it. According to him, all he wrote was the fact and people should let him be.
