She made an announcement through her official Twitter account revealing that with effect from 1st April 2022, she will end her journalism race.
She had worked with the Nation Media Group Television for four years before she quit
“It’s been almost 4 years as your @ntvuganda#weekendedition news anchor. While this changes today, I want you to know that I appreciate all the love and the criticism that pushed me to grow,” a Friday tweet from Twinoburyo read.
Basing on the television station’s socials, Mildred Pedun replaced Sandra Twinoburyo on the NTV Weekend Edition.
Before joining NTV, Sandra worked at the former Record TV as a news reporter and also on Radio City 97FM. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Makerere University.
Sandra attended Bweranyagi Girls’ SSS in Bushenyi District for her secondary education. She further attended Makerere University for her Bachelors in Journalism and Mass-Communication.
In 2017 before completing her course at the university, she became the best English News Anchor in the Inter-University Media Challenge in which she won an Award.
Her next destination is not yet clear, however, if get our hands on something, we will surely let you know.
