Pallaso said this at a concert while talking to his fans. Pallaso has been one of the artists who have greatly condemned the way Nigerian artistes come here and make Ugandans feel small.
Not just the artistes but even the promoters and event organizers who bring them over.
Pallaso says these artists perform for very high prices that they never perform for here as artists from Uganda. It’s been baffling him how events organizers hype them more than they hype the home artists.
He actually told the people while performing to learn how to treasure them because they are home children. The least they deserve is support from home first before anywhere.
This talk has gone on for so long and recently it came back to life after the coming of Chike from Nigeria. Chike without getting permission from anyone opened his concert here with a Radio and Weasel song.
This attracted a lot of attention from artists and fans in both a good and bad way. Weasel was so bitter saying this was humiliating and just despising in all forms.
Is Pallaso right to point his facts? He probably is! Will it help the Industry? Most assuredly.
Events organizers should perhaps be the first people to grant this request from Pallaso because in all ways, it makes a lot of sense.
