Nina Roz Questions The Existence Of Musicians Federation

Singer Nina Roz original name Kakunda Nina is wondering if the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) is still in existence.

She said that they no longer speak about the musicians like they used to do. She therefore, doesn’t know if they are still operating or if they actually stopped.

The federation has been in existence for just one year and musicians have joined and left throughout the whole year.

Those that have left speak only evil about the federation. They said the president of the federation Eddy Kenzo is doing for his only good not the good of the industry.

According to Nina Roz, when she joined the federation, she was promised all the good things. They told them that within a few months, the copyright law would be working and it is now a year.

Kenzo has been under pressure ever since he became the president of musicians. He even stopped going to perform intentionally just because of that.

He tried to get some help for artistes like money to help them with the music but unfortunately, some of the artists didn’t appreciate him. They keep saying that he is giving money to his friends and not artists that need it.

“Is the music industry still in existence? I don’t know about what other musicians are thinking but for me the federation is not doing what they are supposed to be doing,”
