NMS Renames Kshs400M Metropolis Hospital After Uhuru’s Wife

The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has renamed a metropolis hospital after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s wife, Margaret Kenyatta. This happened after a Kshs400 million improvement.

They renamed the Mathare-Korogocho Degree V Hospital to Mama Margaret Kenyatta Hospital. The NMS Director Normal, Mohamed Badi officiated the naming.

They had closed the well-being facility down for 5 months to permit the improvement that enabled it to obtain state-of-the-art tools.

‘’The hospital’s improvement had stalled for years, however, it will now open its doorways to the general public in a week’s time awaiting commissioning,’’ Badi acknowledged.

The hospital is situated in Mathare North and has a 350-bed capability. This makes it the most important beneath Nairobi County Authorities administration. The administration is led by Governor Anne Kananu.

The hospital, which gained prominence for coping with psychological wellbeing, will dedicate a complete ground to dealing with Boda Boda riders. This is because they account for a lot of accidents in the country.

Additionally, it would provide specialized therapies and check-ups together with in-patient wards, a 24-hour pharmacy, and Kidney dialysis. More to that, an intensive care unit, burns unit, and theatres.

As soon as they open it, the hospital will be the first county referral hospital to likely be beneath county authority’s administration.

The five-story building will cut back congestion on the Mama Lucy Hospital that has a mattress capacity of 188.

These two hospitals will serve over 2.1 million people resident within the Eastlands space of Nairobi. The metropolis hospital will also assist in decreasing congestion on the Kenyatta Nationwide Hospital.
