NUP Reveals Government’s Plot To Spy On Their New Offices

The National Unity Platform(NUP) has revealed that the government plotted to spy on and even fail their attempts to acquire land for the new party headquarters.

It should be noted that the party last week unveiled a new head office in Makerere Kavule, Kawempe division.

However speaking to a local TV, the party deputy spokesperson, Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro said that the regime tried to spy on them and even fail the party from acquiring the land.

He went ahead to reveal that there are two businessmen around the same place with two buildings. After plans of NUP were made public to purchase the land, counter offers started coming in for the two owners.

However, they went and told Bobi Wine everything. NUP pleaded with them to hold on a bit as they look for the money to pay off these premises.

Luckily, the men were understanding and held on till the party cleared them off. Mufumbiro referred to them as heroes of the struggle.

“Just when we announced plans to buy land in Kavule, the regime started panicking. They sent counter offers to the two gentlemen who owned buildings there. They told them they wanted to install security agencies. These men however good enough refused and came to us. They told us everything and we pleaded with them to be patient. Fortunately, they were understanding and waited. They are definitely heroes in this struggle too,” said Mufumbiro.

The inauguration of these offices was however delayed for a day by security offices. Apparently, they argued that there wasn’t enough security for the attendees.

NUP defiantly went ahead with the ceremony the following day. And it was heavily attended by different people from opposition political parties.
