Our AIDS Does Not Kill – Mesach Ssemakula Speaks Out

Golden Band singer Mesach Ssemakula while appearing on Urban TV’s show Spectrum Ekimeeza addressed one of the outstanding rumor that has been labelled on him and his fellow band member Ronald Mayinja.

The rumor started some years back of how these two were suffering from HIV/AIDS. Fans accused them of spreading it to innocent women that they sleep.

When one is in the spotlight, they really have to be both emotionally and physically strong otherwise, their psychological state can be damaged beyond repair.

This is because everyone in the public feels they are entitled to owning you. Whatever goes on in your personal life is their business.

We have seen countless allegations being made about people in the limelight some of which are outrageously false. However, the world seems to take that narrative.

Mesach Ssemakula had this to say about it,

“We have grown up while being accused by revelers of being HIV positive all the time. I’ve never seen Ronald Mayinja gain or lose weight or looks. Mayinja is being accused innocently cause that’s his nature. The good thing is our Aids doesn’t kill. It has given us everlasting and a happy life and we are grateful for that. The earthly journey is long and a bit complex.”

The statement saw an outpour of support from fans and others, of course with a bit of negative energy too. These things always come in twos.
