Outrage As Nigerian Gospel Singer Ada Ehi Claims Not To Know Any Ugandan Gospel Singer

There was outrage amongst some Ugandan Gospel singers after renowned Nigerian gospel musician, Ada Ehi said that she doesn’t know any Ugandan gospel singer. Ada said that she has never heard of any Ugandan gospel singer although she knows a few secular artistes.

“In her press conference, Ada Ehi said she doesn’t know any Ugandan gospel artiste and it did not go well with most gospel artistes,” said Radio presenter Emeka.

“I’m sorry but I don’t know any Ugandan gospel artists,” she said.

This comment has gone ahead to rub many people the wrong way including several gospel musicians. Ugandan social users were quick to tear the Congratulations singer apart. They declared her remarks as disrespectful.

They added that she could have at least done a little research about the country she was coming to perform in.

“Not even our @Gabientaate, mbu she doesn’t know . Gabbie, our very own with a song of 2.1M views. Kale alimba. Gabbie has a great song ‘Brag About God’. At least they should do some research before getting into countries. Content is all out there on @YouTube,” one Ugandan social media user commented about the situation.

“She didn’t expect to be interviewed?! Becoz this is the most expected question, Can a whole country lack gospel artists?! How about a simple research about the country she is visiting?! Y’all just gonna let this slide becoz y’all just love everyone but yourselves eeiiish,” another said.

However, others came out to o defend her. They said that she had come to perform not job interviews.

Besides she was giving an honest opinion which she shouldn’t be bashed for. Others advised Ugandan gospel musicians to add in effort in their craft.
