Pallaso Supports Big Eye Joining NUP, Says Uganda Is Free Country

Singer Pallaso real name Pius Mayanja is apparently in support of fellow artiste Big Eye joining the opposition political party National Unity Platform (NUP). He said this shows that Uganda is one of the few countries where everyone gets to do whatever they want at any time.

Big Eye used to support the ruling party NRM, however, he faced so much hatred from fans because of that. He wasn’t allowed to perform anywhere as he was pelted with bottles and shouted at to leave the stage.

The singer kept on requesting fans to let him perform. He apologized to them every time he got an opportunity.

Things didn’t get any easier for him to pursue his career not until he decided to leave the ruling party. He rejoined the opposition party led by a fellow singer Bobi Wine.

Since then, it has become a lot easier for him because fans are welcoming him wherever he goes to perform. Even on social media, he is being praised for being a good musician, unlike the previous years.

Pallaso said Big Eye joining NUP has worked for him and since Uganda has so much freedom, he needs to use it as much as he can.

“Big Eye joining another political party demonstrates that Uganda is a free country. I am happy for him because he is now doing what he loves most which is singing and performing without any disturbance,” he said.
