The former Leone Island singer says that he’s started to tap into the international market in his latest music. This follows a collaboration titled Twala he did with Saraima Navara from Australia.
Papa Cidy says that he now prefers to work abroad where he’s paid in pounds and dollars unlike the peanuts back in Uganda.
The singer further says that he’s already an international brand since he already made his name and music time ago.
Therefore those who want to work with him should reach him through his email and he sieves out those he can and those he won’t work with.
“I’m now setting my targets to becoming a big international singer. Of course, I’m already one because I already made music long time ago. It’s these artists that now reach out to me from abroad and I select who I will sing with and who I won’t. Besides, when I sing abroad I’m paid big money in pounds and dollars. Not peanuts we are paid back here,” he said.
He also adds that he was able to survive during the lockdown because he is a fashion designer. His sewing skills made sure that he gets something to eat.
Papa Cidy also paid tribute to fallen singer AK47
The two were at one time together in Leone Island. The Joselina singer says that AK47 was one of the few honest people who got along with almost everyone.
AK47’s family paid tribute to him earlier this week to mark 7 years since his untimely demise at De Javu pub in Kabalagala.
