Parliament has canceled their prelinary session today due to twin bomb blasts at Parliament Avenue and CPS. Legislators had to meet today to discuss matters of importance to the country.
Today's #PlenaryUg sitting is off and MPs and staff who are not yet here are advised to stay away due to the incidents which just happened on Parliament Avenue and other parts of #Kampala. #StaySafe

However, due to the bomb blasts just near Parliament and also Central Police Station, the speakers have been confirmed to be safe and even driven out of the place.
Police have not yet given a conclusive statement on this matter. The number of people who have died and those injured is not yet clear.
Security around the city center is really tight and people are not being allowed especially near Parliament Avenue and all those surrounding areas. Business is currently at a standstill mostly because of fear and the presence of police everywhere.
Earlier, there was a scare that there was an explosion at Nakasero but it was confirmed as a false rumor. All traffic has now been diverted to Nakawa and Lugogo because City square areas are out of bounds right now.
The explosions have now become too many since the first one around Komamboga. What does this say about the security of the country?
Meanwhile, this has come at the time when the President is set to address the nation on Friday. Does this in anyway affect what he wanted to tell the nation?
Is he going to give a tangible solution to this? He has always called people who take part in these explosions pigs and promised to deal with them. How Will he handle this issue?
