You can hardly find a photo of the fallen speaker in a full tie. Those who have tried to look for such a photo can testify that you will in fact not find it.
Due to his love for bowties, even the flowers around his photo were arranged in form of a bow tie. The speaker has been very stylish in dress code and everyone knew him for always being smart.
On top of that, he is a man who loved his motorbikes and because of this, his casket was adorned with a helmet as well. Oulanyah was a man who loved his tradition, because of this, dancers could not have missed the celebration of his life.
Today, the fallen Speaker is expected to spend a night in parliament as the norm is for a person who died in his position.
On Wednesday, which is tomorrow, his body will head to Kololo for a state funeral. From here, thousands of people will be allowed to pay their last respects.
Later on, on Thursday, Oulanyah will be taken to Omoro where he will be buried on Friday.
Meanwhile, Speaker Among asked that if there is any member of parliament whom Oulanyah hurt, they endeavor to forgive him.
“I want to appeal to any member that Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah might have hurt knowingly or unknowingly to forgive him so that he may go in peace.”
