Pastor Male who is the leader of Arising for Christ Ministries has come out to weigh in on the marital woes of a fellow pastor, Irene Manjeri.
Pastor Manjeri earlier this week revealed that her husband is planning to wed another woman after 27 years of their marriage. The Bethel Healing Church leader added that her husband has even been sleeping around with several women.
Pr Manjeri who looked clearly heartbroken added that she has had enough of men and now wants to be alone.
However, Pastor Male feels that this is a result of veering off the Bible’s teachings. The Pastor said that the Bible has never stipulated weddings and rings as mandatory.
Pastor Male added that marriage in the Bible was all about two people consenting plus their parents.
He went ahead to say that religious leaders have hijacked the role of parents in marriages. They are now the ones who give consent, a thing that has rendered marriage fruitless.
He then cited the likes of the former Archbishop Stanley Ntagali, Pr Bujjingo, Pr Namutebi whose marriages have all crumbled.
He went ahead to say that what happened to Manjeri is something that is still happening to many.
“I think all we have to do is go back to marriage in the Bible where two people would consent to being with one another. Their parents would then give the final consent. Go ask many pastors where they met their partners. Former archbishop Ntagali, Pastor Bujjingo, Pr Namutebi and now Pr Manjeri, most of these met their spouses in church. Church leaders took over the parent’s role and this has made the marriages fail,” Pastor Male said.
Meanwhile, Pastor Namutebi warned all the men who are getting hyper about her situation to calm down. These have been sending her numerous messages but she told them that she’s not really interested.
