Planet Omutume Of The Chai We’njaye Song Distances Self From Being Drug Addict

Uganda singer, the Chai We’njaye hitmaker, Planet Omutume, has distanced himself from being an alcoholic and a drug addict. The song chai we’njaye started trending months ago. It started from TikTok and went viral on every platform with streaming services inclusive.

However, fans have been wondering what the song is and who the artiste behind it is. Apparently, he is just starting his career like any other young singer.

The media started giving Planet Omutume platforms and the reasons behind his song chai we’njaye shocked fans.

In an interview with NBS television, he revealed that he doesn’t drink alcohol or even smoke marijuana like the way people have been saying. He said he is always sobber although when he tells people they deny it because of his trending song.

Planet Omutume said the reason behind his song was about teaching people the effects of drinking alcohol and using drugs. Having grown up in ghettos, he knows how effective these drugs are especially to the young.

He said the song wasn’t about him and people should stop taking it that way. It was about other people and he is happy that they received it with open arms.

“I am sober 24/7, it is unfortunate that the world thinks I use drugs and substances just because of my song’s tittle. Chai w’enjaye wasn’t even about me being drunk, but about the effect of losing your mind because of drug abuse,” he said.
