Police Arrests Man For Spreading And Celebrating Fake News On Museveni Death Rumors

Police in Luwero has arrested a man who has been sharing news about the apparent death of Museveni. The suspect, Peter Ssekyondwa aged 23 was arrested on Friday.

ASP Isa Ssemwogerere, the Savannah Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the news.

“He sent the messages to the phones of three different people spreading propaganda of how His Excellency the President had died and that he was happy with it. The incident took place on Thursday and the case was reported by the area LC one chairman.”

Peter is currently at Luwero Central Police Station. He is also the first person Police has arrested after the president’s warning about this just on Thursday.

The president clearly gave security instruction to arrest any person spreading his death rumors.

“The security service needs to also solve that problem. I need to check with them so that we locate quickly those who tell such a story because you waste people’s time. We should go for you. We should locate where you are and go for you. If you’re in Europe, we denounce you and say go to hell.”

Many people thought the president is throwing tantrums. Unfortunately he was very serious and meant every word.

This fake news clearly irritated the president because in some places he went, people thought he was a ghost. Apparently they had heard of his death rumors.
