The Uganda Police has denied arresting singer King Saha. Reports have been circulating that the Biri Biri singer was whisked away from stage by the Force’s personnel to an unknown location last night.
It should be noted that the singer had a night performance yesterday at The Villa in Bukoto.
It was reported at first that the Police were dictating the singer’s playlist. This is because it alleges that he has a lot of politically provocative songs.
Therefore, these were likely to cause uproar at the venue. Saha a while ago revealed an album with many songs that are indeed provocative to a certain political side.
The singer who is a staunch Bobi Wine supporter in these songs pointed out some of the ruling government’s shortcomings.
These were not just lyrics pointing out just the shortfalls; they also seemed to make some personal attacks. Therefore, the Police are believed to have stopped some of these songs from being played.
An argument is said to have ensued and he was forcefully led away. The Police however said that the singer was simply escorted away and no arrest was made.
They even have no idea where he is now. Phone calls to trace the singer proved futile as all his phones were off.
It should be noted that the former Leone Island singer’s concert a few months ago was canceled. This is after the Police accused him that he might bring Bobi Wine along and turn it into a political procession.
