Police Identify Dead Body Stuffed In Sack By Security Guard

The police in Nansana Division have identified the dead body which a private security guard, Nabasa Gideon, stuffed in a sack and transported on a motorcycle in the wee hours of the night.

Police have identified the body as that of Kagezi Amon, a resident of Kijangi village in Hoima district.

The police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said the deceased had hired a motorcycle registration number, UFG 635P on March 7, 2202, from Owakukikoru Denis, a businessman from Kijangi village.

Amon paid Denis shs10,000 for a self-drive to Buseruka town for private business.

However, Amon disappeared with the motorcycle and joined Nabasa Gideon and Twinamasiko Ivan at Katogo zone in Bwaise.

“It is unfortunate that the deceased was murdered at the home of the two suspects in Bwaise. Afterward, Nabasa Gideon removed the deceased’s clothing and stuffed the body of Kagezi Amon, in a sack,” Enanga said.

Police intercepted the suspect while he ferried the body to the dump to dispose of it. When patrollers found him pushing a motorcycle with a sack on it at 4am, they grew suspicious and stopped him. They immediately arrested him after finding a dead body in the sack.

Enanga revealed that police carried out a search in their home in Katogo zone, Bwaise. While there, police recovered a mattress, and bed sheets stained with suspected blood.

Also recovered were the clothes of the deceased, stained with blood, as well as other clothes.

Enanga said investigations to determine the motive of the murder are ongoing. Police are also trying todetermine how a motorcycle stolen from Hoima ended up in Kampala.
