Assistant Superintendent of Police Muhammad Kirumira has been replaced as the District Police Commander for Buyende District.

This has come after kirumira announced his resignation as Buyende district DPC on Wednesday this week.
Afande Kirumira who has pending charges against him has been replaced by Assistant Superintendent of Police Edgar Akankwasa.
The police spokesperson Emilian Kayima confirmed the replacement of kirumira saying Kayihura appointed Afande Edgar to take over Kirumira’s position with immediate effect.
The officer was charged with a number of charges that include; corruption and many others.
However, kirumira has denied the charges saying that they are aimed at tarnishing his name by his superiors.
The officer also accuses his superiors of colliding with criminals to carryout crimes within the city.
Kirumira was forcefully arrested by Flying Squad force that broke into his house in Bulenga, Wakiso district on Thursday morning.
Currently, he’s incarcerated at the Railway detention facility in Nsambya.
