President Paul Kagame of Rwanda has apparently received an unusual message from his Ugandan counterpart Museveni. This message dubbed “special message” apparently was well received by Kagame.
Uganda’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Adonia Ayebare delivered this message. Immediately after doing her job, she ran to social media to thank President Kagame for being receptive.
“Thank you President Paul Kagame for warmly receiving me today to deliver President Museveni’ special message,” Ayebare tweeted.
This comes after the cold relationship between Rwanda and Uganda. This relationship has been bitter since 2017. The two countries just started having a cold war which led to the closure of boarders for sometime.
Not only that, both countries lost lives in these fights especially Ugandans which clearly went far.
However, there has been some light lately that this cold war will stop. Recently Museveni’s son, Muhoozi even called Kagame his uncle.
He also said whoever fights Kagame, is attacking the first family. This could mean that there have been some talks before hand to correct the situation.
“This is my uncle, Afande Paul Kagame. Those who fight him are fighting my family. They should all be careful,” Lt Gen Muhoozi tweeted .
It would do both countries good if they just ended these petty fights. Somehow, it affected business and also keeps Ugandans in fear while in Rwanda.
