Prof Gilbert Bukenya Asks Irene Namubiru To Join Politics

Former Vice President Professor Gilbert Bukenya is blessing legendary singer Irene Namubiru in politics. He said she is the perfect leader in Uganda that people are going to understand because she knows them and has dealt with them multiple times.

In Uganda, it is very easy for musicians to transition into politics and become members of parliament.

Most of them already have their fans who are ready to vote for them, they don’t usually put in so much work to look for votes. Different musicians use this opportunity to become members of parliament and other leaders.

However, there are some artists who have made it very clear that they have no interest whatsoever in joining politics. All they want is to perform for their fans and make money through music.

Over the weekend Irene Namubiru had an amazing concert and different people showed up to support her. Some were regular fans while others were high society members.

Gilbert Bukenya was one of the people and he was very excited to be at her concert. He said that people love Iryn Namubiru and with her skills in music, she can also take them to politics.

“I want Iryn Namubiru to join politics. You can clearly see that she is a good leader. People see that and I know they will be able to support her too,” he said.
