The letter O singer has been in the music industry for more than 25 years. However, he has never bragged about what he has achieved in those years.
He is among the richest musicians in Uganda. He said he has achieved so much but he doesn’t like talking about it in public.
However, there are artists who use bragging (Showbiz) as part of their branding. Musicians like Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool started their careers by showing off expensive items.
Other young musicians who have got inspiration from them also use the same strategies of showing off expensive things.
Unfortunately, Ragga Dee said most of these artists borrow expensive items, and people willing to help them end up thinking artists have money.
The singer said Ugandan artists are struggling financially and they need even more help when it comes to copyright law.
According to Ragga Dee, it is very okay for a musician to show off what they have achieved because they inspire people but showing off a lot is not good.
Government thinks artiste gain a lot from the music yet they don’t gain little compared to what they invest in.
“Musicians should refrain from excessive displays of their achievements,” he said.
