Comedian Reign Warns Ugandans Against Calling His Music Bubblegum

Comedian Reign of the duo Maulana and Reign has warned Ugandans against calling his music bubblegum music.  He said he is a better musician and he never joined the music industry to sing bubblegum.

Reign started his entertainment career as a comedian. He was mentored by the late Kato Lubwama when he joined. He made friends and that is how he started working with Maulana.

Previously he was a primary school teacher although he never liked his career after his parent forced him to pursue it.

According to Reign, he realized that he was a multi-talented person when he started doing comedy. He went to studio to record an advert and that is how he ended up testing his voice.

The singer and comedian said that he takes his talents very seriously and he knows that he makes money out of it. He said that doing quality music is a priority to him and there is no way he will ever do bubble gum music while he is competing with big artists like Burnaboy.

“Don’t call my music bubble gum music. I am one of the best musicians trying to compete with big musicians like Burnaboy. I do quality music more than any other musicians in Uganda,” he said.

It should be noted that Reign is also an actor. He has acted in different televised movies.
