The singer revealed that he was performing but as soon as the bigger artiste came, the promoter kicked him away. Rob Ross said while appearing on Spark TV’s 21 Questions.
He revealed that this was his toughest time ever since he started singing. This moment sent him home crying and he decided to write a song known as Champion out of the situation.
“My most embarrassing moment was in 2022, when a man unexpectedly kicked me off the stage in Mbarara because Kabako had arrived. I went home in tears and wrote a song called “Champion,” he said.
A couple of regional artists have cited the same issues over time. They say that there is a lot of disrespect from Kampala artistes when they perform in their areas. Such was the case last year when singers Azawi and Ray G clashed over the same thing.
Meanwhile Rob Ross who calls himself the Western lover boy said that music in the region is slowly progressing. It’s no longer like years ago when only renowned musicians ruled the airwaves.
The Cassette singer also revealed that Allan Toniks is his role model. Although he hasn’t done any project with him, he looks forward to doing it some day.
