He made this statement following the verbal war between Eddy Kenzo and Bobi Wine that started after the latter asked musicians not be beggars.
Before Kenzo became the president of musicians under the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), he wasn’t vocal about matters concerning artists.
However, ever since he was appointed, he has been standing up for fellow artists. Anyone that says ill things about musicians, he comes out to defend them.
For a long time, Bobi Wine has been talking about artists especially those that don’t side with him. He has been calling them out saying they are dealing with the government to just get money.
This time around when he made the same statement, Eddy Kenzo was ready to respond to him. He said Bobi Wine needs to respect musicians because when he went to Parliament, he didn’t fight for them to be better.
Rogers Mulindwa has added his voice and told Bobi Wine that not all musicians need to support him.
“Bobi Wine believes in sectarian politics. He thinks that being a musician, he has to be supported by all musicians, but now he forgets that Kenzo is his boss music-wise,” he said.
