Following the accident, Ronald cried out to well wishers on social media to come to his rescue. Luckily, some people heard the upcoming artist’s appeal and ran to his rescue contributing whatever they could.Ronald Alimpa, known for his song “Sean Don”, sustained a broken leg and other injuries in different areas of his body.
This same crash claimed the life of another local singer, Lady Grace of the ‘Layila’ hit fame. However though, the two were not the only people who occupied the vehicle.
While on his sick bed, Alimpa revealed the fatality of the incident and how it had left him with a broken leg and chest pain.
“You were asking where I’m feeling pain? I feel it in the chest. My leg is broken, and others are badly injured,” Alimpa said in a video shared in Thursday afternoon.
After revealing his injuries, he called upon well wishers to come to his rescue because he could not foot the hospital bills.
“Dear Ugandans, if you can see me please come to my rescue. We need your assistance to get out of this situation. We were going to work (before the crash) and we were not able to work,” he said.
In Mathew 7:7, the Bible says ‘ask and you shall be given’. The same happened to Ronald as his cries fell on ears of good samaritans.
Some of these good samaritans immediately sought his whereabouts and went right over to visit the upcoming artist. The rest contributed to the cause through mobile money which they sent to him to help sort out the medical bills.
Sophia Namutebi a.k.a Mama Fina, the president of traditional healers in Uganda, donated UGX 2m towards the fundraiser. She further vowed to help the singer and see him through to his full recovery.
Other celebrities have also been finding other ways to help their colleagues in this trying time.
