Rwandan Citizen Remanded On Fraud Charges In Uganda

A Rwandan citizen  identified as  Mr Manisa a resident of Kisaasi , Nakawa division has been remanded in custody in Uganda on charges of fraud read to him before Law Development Center Court principal magistrate Martins Kirya

The individual is accused of engaging in fraudulent activities, leading to their detention as legal proceedings unfold.

The individual stands accused of participating in fraudulent activities, which prompted authorities to remand him with others in custody while legal proceedings take place.

However, their detention serves as a measure to ensure their availability during the legal process and to prevent any potential flight from justice.

Ugandan authorities are actively investigating the case and gathering evidence to support the allegations of fraud. The remand period will allow for a thorough examination of the charges and a fair judicial process.

Meanwhile It is important to note that the presumption of innocence applies to the accused until proven guilty in a court of law.

The case is currently under investigation

Manisa the CEO of Happi Travel and Logistics while in court some complainants she’d tears asking the court to grant them justice and make Mr Manisa refund their money they paid after promising them better jobs in the shortest time possible though some victims said it’s now close to two years since they expected to travel.

The Rwandan citizen was remanded to Luzira prison till September 13, 2023 when he is expected to be brought back to court for a hearing.
