Comedian Salvador Explains Why It’s Not Good For Musicians As Covid-19 Vaccination Ambassadors

Comedian Patrick Salvador through his Twitter page revealed why using musicians as the face of the vaccination program might turn fruitless.

The comedian said that majority of the musicians themselves have not got vaccine.

Therefore rallying their fans to get the vaccine might be a bit tricky.

“80% of Ugandan musicians are not vaccinated that’s why it’s tricky for them to come out and rally their supporters to get vaccinated,” Salvador said.

Uganda Breweries Limited over the weekend organized a mass vaccination exercise at Kololo Independence grounds. The company used entertainers such as Ykee Benda and Azawi to entice people to come for vaccination.

This process also saw a number of celebrities come over to get the vaccine. These included the likes of comedians Madrat and Chiko, Martha Kay, Canary Mugume, Ykee Benda amongst others

UBL, the makers of Bell beer, requested all its customers to get the vaccine since the exercise is free. The aim is to help the government reach the target of 4.8m people by January 2022.

President Museveni revealed that he will open most sectors of the economy after.

However, the public is yet to see if the government in partnership with different agencies will achieve this objective.
