 Savio Kabugo Signs 3 Years Contract With DRC Champions AS Vita

After spending several years playing for Ugandan clubs, the Uganda cranes defender, Savio Kabugo was finally spotted by Congo’s  football giant, AS Vita and without wasting time he was invited to Kinshasa where he quickly signed a three years contract after successful trials with the club.

Every genuine success has a journey, not short cuts, Savio Kabugo’s journey has been longingly waited for through prayer, hard work and consistency .

The Ugandan defender finally becomes a professional footballer after signing a three-year deal with a foreign club.

Kabugo flew to Congo’s capital, Kinshasa three weeks ago for trials at AS Vita where he perfectly impressed the club manager, Ibenge Florent and hence signing a three years contract.

I humbly thank God for such a great opportunity given on to me and I also appreciate everyone who played a great role in this move. I have come here not for the sake of coming, but to make history with AS Vita and I believe I have what it takes to fit in this team,’’he said.

Savio Kabugo who attracted public attention in AFCON qualifiers 2014 after scoring a winning goal for Uganda Cranes against Ghana’s black stars at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole has previously played for Proline FC, SC Victoria, URA FC and SC Villa.
